  i've just had the official results on my pgce.

  i'm not posting here to boast, but to encourage any who may have abandoned education because of the pressure as a jw, and who may feel that it's too late to return and achieve such goals.

  in the 1980s i stopped halfway through my b.ed honours and accepted a dip.h.e.

  Hello and my exit story from WTS

  i thought it was fitting for me to share my freedom from the witnesses story on independence day weekend.. i dont have any secret info, just experiences that happened to me and started to open my eyes.. i was a third generation, raised in the truth kid who was never supposed to be born, and then never supposed to graduate high school.

  ive now been out of high school longer than i was in school.. the beginning of the end started a little less than a decade ago.

  i was late 20s at the time.

  My Grandma passed away

  good day all:.

  while at work a couple days ago, i got a call that my grandma passed away.

  she would've been 86 next week, but she still lived her life...so i'm getting emails ect from my home congregation from folks just checking up on me.

  While at work a couple days ago, I got a call that my grandma passed away. She would've been 86 next week, but she still lived her life...so I'm getting emails ect from my home congregation from folks just checking up on me. So an elderly JW sister said to me "even though she wasn't a JW, only Jehovah can decide if she'll be resurrected or not, so keep strong".

  Well I'm taking a couple days off to be with my family and attend the funeral. I'm glad she wasn't a JW and she enjoyed life to the fullest.

  In other news...the company I work for hosted a seminar at a church (for those who were less fortunate)....and I was surprised!! It's what people would consider a "black" church...lot's of singing, clapping ect...but I realized that these folks seem happy. It was a huge difference from the Khall, just sitting down like a zombie. These folks were just as friendly as some of the folks at the Khall...ofcourse the WTBS wants us to beleive that their are only "loving" people at the Khall'.

  My street crawling with JWs

  i went to post a packet today.

  as i left my house i noticed a couple of jws boring a house holder to death.. as i returned from the post office i saw the area regailed with jws, many of whom i know.

  they didn't see me as they were busy trying to foist leaflets onto people.

  On my way to work in the mornings, I see the dubs standing at the bus stops with the mags...no interaction unless they're approached. I just see them standing or sitting down with the magazines in their hands...it looks like they're using it to block the sun..

  Who has had their District Convention seats stolen by other Witnesses?

  over the years i have had to deal with this problem personally and as a attendant covering my section at various convention centers.

  i had people who were suppose to be decent jehovah witnesses pick up all the books, bags and coolers belonging to brothers and sisters who arrived at the appropriate time and picked them up and dumped them all at the end of the seating row.

  so here is what goes down, the sister runs up to me panicking and saying "dear brother, i had all those seats reserved for my family and now look!

  HAHA!

  Well, when I went to convention, there is usually a big rush at the doors, no matter how early you arrive. I remember one occasion a sister had a bed sheet and just tossed it over a few "end" seats for her family....despite the "no-saving" seat policy.

  Once I placed my bag and books on two seats (I like to have an extra seat between me & the next person), a sister moved it over and said "oh sorry".

  I remember a couple years ago, waiting in line for them to open the doors to the convention...a brother asked, why they can't just let us in regardles of how early we come in? A sister replied "It's Jehovah's instructions"...we looked at each other in a WTF moment!

  Hello folks!!!

  My work permit got approved to go overseas for a year!!!!!

  This will even make my fade much smoother...but my parents already told me that they're coming to visit! I'll deal with that if they ever come by...I'm going to visit my parents for a couple days before I depart, I'm wondering if I can talk to my dad about TTATT...I mentioned the Candace Conti case to him and he says he's disgusted and that it looks like the WTBS was trying to protect the fellow who did it!

  Some weeks ago, I helped a friend of mine not feel pressured in going back to the cult after years of inactivity and pressure from the elders/parents.

  Wish I could awaken my parents...especially my dad. I may start working on my dad, he's more of a free-thinker than my extremist mother...hope it works.

  what do you think is the real status of the wtbs in terms of cash/assets/wealth?.

  2. They're asset rich and cash poor

  3. They've sold off most of their properties in NYC and moving upstate

  4. They're downsizing

  5. The arrangement to no longer ask for a specified cost towards the literature before the new arrangement went in effect

  6. They're enhancing the availability of their teachings online & in digital formats

  7. However, they still receive donations from those that are blind, including Trusts, Hedge Funds ect..

  So what do you think is the current financial status of the borg and how will it look in the future?
